This Month I’m… {March 2018}

Hello March, where did you creep up from?

January lasted 5 years, February lasted all of 5 minutes and all of a sudden we’re in March!

Last month saw the addition of a new furry family member, a 29th birthday and a lovely Valentines dinner cooked by the other half. So, what am I up to this month?

This Month I’m…

… Currently watching the snow fall, in March, wtf. Schools have closed today in preparation for some big expected snowfall around midday. I’m keeping everything crossed that we get a good few inches as it’s been at least 6 years since we had a decent snow day.

… Reading ‘The Book of Dust’ by Philip Pullman. Gifted to me by my future sister in-law for my birthday last month. I’m starting this book today and I’m looking forward to reading a physical book rather than using the Kindle app on my iPhone – we broke up yesterday.

… Walking 5km everyday, that allows me. I’m finally taking full advantage of living right next to a 180 mile (290 km) trail… by walking just 5km of it lol. Usually with Delilah in the pram whilst Travis is at nursery or by myself whilst they’re both fit and well and at nursery – Both have been full of bugs lately.

… Continuing with my limited calorie intake. I’m sticking at 1,200 calories a day and so far I’ve lost 15lb since the end of January.

… Seeing the Chiropractor. Because I hurt my back trampolining, like you do. I’ve never been to a Chiropractor before – I feel like an old woman.

… Not killing my plants. I’ve managed to slightly revive my Lily plant since it started looking a bit worse for wear last month.

… Practising more Yoga at home. However, it’s really hard with two kids and a puppy climbing all over you. I still try to attend my BodyBalance classes twice a week but the kids have had one illness after another lately which means that I’ve missed quite a few.

… Enjoying Mother’s Day, with my darling children and my own wonderful, beautiful Mother.

… Taking more photos. I’ve invested in some new shooting and editing equipment and it’s definitely encouraging me to whip out the camera more often.

What are you doing this month?

    I’m reading The Book of Dust too! At least I am when my 5mo gives me a chance… In theory breastfeeding should be great for reading but usually I’m so tired I just find myself aimlessly scrolling through social media… (I also need that plant book – I am so rubbish at keeping them alive!)

      Haha funny that. I know exactly what you mean. My Nan bought me the plant book as well as a lily plant, which rather ironically, Iโ€™ve killed ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

    Sounds like you are keeping very busy. After being in hibernation for 4 months I think I need to follow your diet and exercise regime!

    Well done on your amazing weight loss, I’ve reduced my calories to 1000 after a bout of illness and have lost 13lbs, I love hearing other people’s weight loss stories. It really motivates me now the spring sunshine has arrived in Devon – I’ve just jinxed that now haven’t I!?
